Philosophy of Education
My Philosophy of education is based on two point of view: Social and Professional. My social base is focused around Ms. Elaine Wilmore. She states that "Treat every student as if they were your own or as if they were the very student who will grow up and marry your child or grandchild. Think about it. Act accordingly." As a school leader we need to inspire our teacher to help students’ social development as well as instruction.

In addition to her significant work in educational leadership, assessment, and program development, enjoys reading, writing, walking, traveling, music, and spending time with those she loves.

![]() Martin Luther King, Jr. (January 15, 1929 – April 4, 1968), was an American Baptist minister, activist, humanitarian, and leader in the African-American Civil Rights Movement. He is best known for his role in the advancement of civil rights using nonviolent civil disobedience based on his Christian beliefs.King became a civil rights activist early in his career. He led the 1955 Montgomery Bus Boycott and helped found the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) in 1957, serving as its first president. King also helped to organize the 1963 March on Washington, where he delivered his famous "I Have a Dream" speech. There, he established his reputation as one of the greatest orators in American history.

My second base is focused around Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. He defines education as the function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education. It is so aligned with my district mission and vision: Prepare each student for higher education in a safe, caring environment, and lead them from the classroom into the world as responsible citizens. I believe, that our students, our futures, should become intelligent critical thinkers who are college ready and career ready.
